On July 1, 2024, significant changes will be implemented in the Italian traffic restriction calendar for industrial vehicles with a total mass exceeding 7.5 tons. During July and August, there will be mid-week stoppages during peak tourist traffic periods. Additionally, a Saturday traffic ban will be enforced, albeit with different hours compared to the Sunday ban. It's important to note that the start of the Sunday ban was advanced to 7:00 AM in June, and this rule will remain in force for July, August, and September.
During these three months, industrial vehicles will be prohibited from circulating on all Sundays from 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM. The Saturday ban schedule varies: on July 6, 13, 20, and 26, as well as August 17, 24, and 31, the ban will be from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. On August 3 and 10, the ban will extend from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM. Moreover, on Friday, July 26, and Friday, August 2, the ban will be enforced from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM.
On Thursday, August 15, industrial vehicles will not be allowed to travel from 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM. In September, the ban will revert to Sundays only (September 1, 8, 15, 22, and 29) from 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM. In all these instances, the usual exemptions for certain types of transport and vehicles will apply.
