Circle Group, through its subsidiary InfoEra and in collaboration with DataCh Technologies, secured the tender launched by the Port Authority to modernise the operations of Trieste and Monfalcone. A new public-private joint venture, named PCS Newco, will be established to develop and manage an advanced digital system for port traffic management. The initiative aims to streamline operational processes, enhance efficiency for operators, institutions, and clients, and significantly reduce paperwork. The initial phase of the contract covers six years and is valued at €5.8 million. Should it be extended, the total value will rise to €13.8 million over seven years.
The project will introduce cutting-edge technologies, including the elimination of paper documentation, integration of artificial intelligence systems to optimise cargo flows and planning, and real-time operational monitoring. Advanced tools such as the Automatic Identification System (AIS) and Port Management Information System (PMIS), provided by DataCh Technologies, will form the backbone of the new digital infrastructure.
