Msc Air Cargo has taken a significant step forward in bolstering its operations both in the air and on the ground by placing an order for its fifth Boeing B777F aircraft. Scheduled for delivery by the end of the first quarter of 2024, the new aircraft will operate under an Italian Aoc (Air Operator Certificate) acquired through the purchase of AlisCargo Airlines. This move also marks the inauguration of the second European gateway at Malpensa Airport. This development was shared by Jannie Davel, Svp of Msc Air Cargo, in an interview with Stet Media Group.
In a related strategic shift, Davel announced via a LinkedIn post that as of February 15, 2024, Msc Air Cargo has ceased its partnership with Ecs, which served as the General Sales Agent (Gsa) in North America, Europe, and Mexico. Concurrently, Msc Air Cargo plans to strengthen its commercial teams globally. Davel extended "our sincere gratitude for their dedication and the valuable contributions made during our partnership," acknowledging that "their commitment played a pivotal role in our journey, and we extend our thanks for the shared growth experiences."
