The partnership will focus on optimizing ship routes, container management, and inventory control to ensure efficient and timely deliveries while reducing costs and carbon emissions.
CEVA Logistics, CMA CGM's logistics arm, will spearhead the future of data-driven logistics, initially concentrating on intelligent warehouse management to improve operations across its 10.3 million square meters of warehouse space. Google's technology will enable CEVA Logistics to better anticipate and plan operations through advanced volume and demand forecasting.
This collaboration will also extend to CMA Media, the division managing newspapers and other media outlets. Google's AI expertise will help this division develop critical tools to assist journalists in their daily tasks, such as summarizing and translating documents, generating multimedia content for social networks, and digitizing and indexing archives of articles, photos, and videos.
