On October 30, 2024, Fercam announced the launch of its Finnish branch, located in the port city of Turku. The facility is designed to enhance full and partial load transport activities, leveraging the city's strategic position for import/export operations. Turku's prime location will allow for more efficient logistics activities and help strengthen connections between Finland and the rest of Europe.
The opening of the Turku branch is part of Fercam's ongoing expansion, which began with the establishment of Fercam Sweden in 2021, followed by further growth into Lithuania. This new development marks another step toward consolidating the Fercam Group's presence in the Scandinavian market. The company aims to increase sea transport routes, such as the Helsinki-Rostock link, and boost rail transportation. For road transport, Fercam has announced the use of HVO biofuel.
Theo Hasselblatt, Branch Manager of the new Turku office, stated, "This opening is a strategic step for Fercam. Expanding into Finland provides the opportunity to create a more direct link with customers in the Scandinavian area, improving operational efficiency while continuing to ensure high standards of quality and satisfaction, which are central to our corporate vision. We will work closely with Fercam Sweden to build an even stronger network and deliver optimized solutions to our clients."
