Ecomondo 2024, the Rimini fair dedicated to the green economy, features a couple of pavilions showcasing manufacturers and suppliers of industrial vehicles. This year, three major heavy-duty brands (Iveco, Man, and Renault Trucks) were absent, but their spaces were taken by light electric vehicles imported from China, later equipped in Italy, including those from Ladurner Equipment, Wuling under the new Linxys brand, and Jac Motors.
Ladurner Equipment unveiled its LC7e model, designed specifically for the collection of electronic and electrical waste. The Italian company, controlled by Chinese giant Zoomlion, adds this model to its existing lineup of LV2e, LV5e, and LC5e, further demonstrating Ladurner's commitment to meeting the minimum environmental criteria set by the National Action Plan on Green Public Procurement. The new LC7e is classified as an N2 vehicle and features a 100 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery, providing a range of 200 to 250 kilometers.
The electric motor has a maximum power output of 150 kW and a torque of 560 Nm, allowing the vehicle to reach speeds of up to 90 km/h. Fast charging up to 80% is possible in an hour and a half using a DC fast charger, while full charging takes approximately five hours with the onboard AC charger. The vehicle is also equipped with an adjustable three-level regenerative braking system, and the specialized equipment includes features that facilitate loading and unloading waste, such as a sack lifter and side doors.
Another highlight at Ecomondo was the presence of the Linxys brand, launched in 2023 by the Wuling Nev division of Liuzhou Wuling New Energy Vehicle. Among the models showcased at Ecomondo, the Go050P stood out with its easily accessible cargo area and compact size, ensuring easy access even in restricted traffic zones. The vehicle also boasts advanced technologies such as AEB (Automatic Emergency Braking), air conditioning, and a large central touchscreen.
Jac Motors presented its new range of electric commercial vehicles in Rimini, including two light vehicles and a 4x4 pickup, designed specifically for the European market. These models offer a range of up to 220 kilometers and are equipped with driver assistance systems such as emergency braking and lane departure warning.
