Amazon makes new 4 billion investment in Anthropic
Amazon has deepened its collaboration with artificial intelligence developer Anthropic, investing an additional 4 billion in the San Francisco-based company and designating Amazon Web Services (AWS) as the primary partner for model training. Amazon entrusts 21 Air with US cargo transport
21 Air, a small cargo airline based in Miami, began operating the first of seven Boeing 767-300F aircraft for Amazon on Thursday. Amazon has chosen to replace its long-standing partner, Atlas Air, with other carriers for its domestic air logistics network. The deal involves 21 Air, owned by Houston Astros' proprietor Jim Crane, in partnership with Canadian carrier Cargojet. Amazon has reassigned the seven aircraft, previously operated by Atlas Air, to 21 Air, but will continue to lease them via Titan Aviation, an Atlas affiliate. This move marks the latest chapter in Amazon's separation from Atlas Air, following the transfer of ten other aircraft to ABX Air and the planned reassignment of eight Boeing 737-800s to Sun Country Airlines.
