The Port of Genoa is turning its focus to Vietnam with a commercial mission to the Asian nation, spearheaded by Spediporto, the Municipality of Genoa, and the Western Ligurian Sea Port System Authority. The two key stops of the trip are Ho Chi Minh City and Danang, with the aim of fostering trade exchanges and joint projects to strengthen the Ligurian port system in the global context. Andrea Giachero, President of Spediporto, highlighted the strategic significance of this mission: “Vietnam is a relatively unknown country but one experiencing rapid growth, fuelled by the expansion of e-commerce, industrial hubs, and Special Economic Zones. This is a unique opportunity to broaden the prospects for our businesses.”
One of the mission’s standout events is a meeting with the Vietnam Logistics Business Association, chaired by President Paul Khoa, along with a delegation of local entrepreneurs. Giampaolo Botta, General Manager of Spediporto, outlined the central themes of the discussions: “We will focus on air cargo and Special Economic Zones, creating synergies between Spediporto, the Genoa Airport System, and Vietnamese entities linked to the rapidly growing e-commerce sector.”
