On September 9, Bracchi revealed the acquisition of Mateco, a leader in special and heavy transport services. The transaction, managed under the guidance of the Argos Wityu investment fund, marks a significant milestone in Bracchi’s growth and diversification strategy, setting the stage for a new phase of expansion and consolidation in the logistics sector.
Mateco, founded in 1978 and based in Northern Italy, is a key player in the field of special and heavy transport, known for providing tailor-made transportation solutions for industries such as electromechanics, energy, and large infrastructure projects. The company boasts advanced engineering capabilities, allowing it to handle complex and heavy loads with an asset-right approach, perfectly aligned with Bracchi’s operational model.
This acquisition is the first investment made by Argos Climate Action, Argos Wityu's buy-out fund focused on decarbonization and sustainability. The fund aims to reduce the CO2 intensity of its portfolio companies by at least 7.5% per year, contributing to the creation of sustainable leaders in Europe.
