On August 26, 2024, Ceccarelli Group announced the expansion of its operations in the Friuli Venezia Giulia region with the opening of a new logistics facility at the Cervignano del Friuli Interport. This 8,400-square-meter facility, divided into seven operational modules, marks a significant step in the company's growth strategy, adding to its existing presence in strategic locations such as Udine, Tolmezzo, Pradamano, Budoia, Trieste, Padua, Milan, and Prato.
Cervignano del Friuli, positioned along the Baltic-Adriatic corridor, was chosen for its strategic importance, especially in light of recent European directives that strengthen Italy’s role as a Euro-Mediterranean logistics hub. The new Ceccarelli site will support both national and international shipping operations, with a particular focus on expanding international logistics through its collaboration with Cursor, the company’s international division. The facility operates seven days a week, supported by a fleet of fifteen industrial vehicles.
Luca Ceccarelli, President of Ceccarelli Group, emphasized the strategic importance of this new hub as a foundation for future expansion. "Currently, the site serves a single client, but we are fully committed to maintaining and expanding this operation. We have already intensified our relationships and contacts to lay the groundwork for new integrated logistics opportunities."
Earlier in April 2024, Ceccarelli Group inaugurated a 40,000-square-meter logistics platform in Budoia, located in the province of Pordenone. This new logistics center features 6,500 square meters of covered space, eight loading bays, and 6,400 pallet positions, both on racking and ground storage.
