The end-of-year report for 2024 by Telt, the organisation responsible for the construction and management of the cross-border section of the Turin-Lyon rail link, highlights expenditures of approximately €1 billion, out of a total of €9 billion.

The Port System Authority of the Eastern Ligurian Sea has allocated €57 million for the Italian ports of La Spezia and Marina di Carrara, bolstered by funding from Italy’s National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR). These investments will also support the provision of electricity to moored vessels.

At the start of 2025, the GTS Group announced the establishment of GTS Horizon in Verona, a Italian company developed in partnership with Simone Gatto De Chirico. Its mission is to provide a comprehensive service encompassing storage and multimodal transport.

On 1 January 2025, motorway tolls on several Italian routes increased to align with inflation. The year also marks the introduction of a reform of motorway concessions.
