The Italian branch of real estate developer VGP has started work on the construction of VGP Park Parma, a logistics hub situated seven kilometers from the city center of Parma and 800 meters from the A1 motorway exit. The new facility, with a total leasable area exceeding 50,000 square meters, has already been fully pre-leased by an Italian company, whose name has not been disclosed. The project includes the installation of solar panels, charging stations for electric vehicles, and a significant biodiversity initiative aimed at positively contributing to the local ecosystem.
On an international level, VGP continues to develop the Park Leipzig Airport, a 450,000 square meter area that will host logistics and semi-industrial companies near the Leipzig-Halle airport. The first building, offering approximately 23,600 square meters of leasable space, is expected to be completed by spring 2025. Overall, the five planned buildings will provide flexible solutions for logistics and semi-industrial companies, with up to 210,000 square meters of leasable space, starting from 1,500 square meters. Development of the park began in 2021, with the first building being used by wholesale company Meesenburg and logistics group De Boer.
