Coscos, the joint venture between Fratelli Cosulich and Cosco Shipping, has acquired the entire capital of the Novara-based trucking and logistics company Trasgo. The transaction was completed on January 10, 2024, at an undisclosed value by the parties. Following the acquisition of Trasgo, Coscos plans to acquire additional storage space, which it will use to serve Chinese enterprises operating in Italy.
Trasgo boasts a fleet of 98 industrial vehicles and fourteen logistic platforms in Italy, offering a total storage area of 270,000 square meters. It employs 370 people and generates a revenue of 42 million euros. The Russo family, founders of Trasgo, will remain in the management structure, but the new owner has appointed a new CEO, Marco Donati, and has included Marta Cosulich in the Board of Directors.
Coscos was established in 1996 in Genoa and has a capital evenly split between Fratelli Cosulich and Cosco Shipping. The two companies also have another joint venture, Cosco Shipping Agency, which provides maritime agency services.
