On 9 January 2025, GXO Logistics announced its collaboration with Calliope, a fashion company under the Italian Teddy Group umbrella. The contract encompasses warehouse management, e-fulfilment, returns handling, and value-added services. At the heart of this partnership lies a 10,000-square-metre warehouse in Stradella, designed to integrate advanced automation with sustainable practices. Key technologies implemented include pick-to-light workstations, automated conveyor lines, and telescopic arms for loading and unloading parcels. The entire facility is illuminated with 100% LED lighting.
GXO operates more than 60 fashion-focused sites across Europe, employing 3D sorting systems that triple operational capacity during seasonal peaks, robotic Pick-it-Easy arms to speed up order picking, and wearable scanners to enhance productivity. To lower shipping costs and reduce environmental impact, the company also uses 3D packaging solutions. Calliope is part of the Teddy Group, which recorded a consolidated revenue of over €672 million in 2023, with a presence in 79 countries.
