On June 20, 2024, Iemoli Trasporti inaugurated its new headquarters in Turate (Como). The new facility is larger than the original headquarters in Cadorago, allowing the intermodal company to better meet the demands of international transport and logistics. Founded in 1962 and now part of Swiss Post, Iemoli Trasporti specializes in the transport of hazardous goods, temperature-controlled shipments, and intermodal transport between Italy and Switzerland.
The new Turate facility, the result of an investment exceeding ten million euros, spans an area of 18,000 square meters, of which 8,000 are covered. The plant includes 2,500 square meters for heavy goods and ferrous products, 500 square meters for hazardous Adr goods, nineteen loading docks, and 1,200 square meters for offices and administration. Thirty employees work there. For environmental sustainability, the new facility is equipped with a 500 kW photovoltaic system with accumulators, enabling the use of clean energy for lighting and forklift charging, achieving zero energy impact. There are also two 360 kW outlets for electric truck charging and four fast outlets for electric cars.
