The Buzón de Denuncias Anónimas, a digital tool created to facilitate the reporting of violations in the transport sector, was established in March 2022 following an agreement made at the end of 2021 between the ministry and the associations of the Comité Nacional de Transporte por Carretera. This platform allows for completely anonymous submissions without the need for personal data, focusing solely on the alleged irregularities observed.
In two years of operation, the service has received approximately 10,000 reports. This system of anonymity enables transporters to report infractions without fear of retaliation, loss of clients, or threats from other non-compliant transporters. The most common infractions reported include late payments (53%), underpriced contracts (10%), and violations related to loading and unloading (8%). Other reports concern overloading, tachograph tampering, the transportation of dangerous goods, and improper management of company transport.
Despite the tool's significance, more than half of the reports were dismissed due to a lack of sufficient information. Fenadismer, the national federation of transport associations, has emphasized the need for precise details to initiate necessary inspections. The federation continues to advocate for accurate communication to ensure that reports can be properly investigated. Access to the Buzón de Denuncias Anónimas remains available on the Ministry of Transport's website.
