Lannutti, the Piedmont-based international logistics and transport firm, has secured an order with Volvo Trucks for 1,500 FH Aero road tractors, representing the new generation of the Swedish flagship. This marks one of the largest orders received by Volvo Trucks and is part of Lannutti's fleet renewal program. The company operates a fleet of 2,500 industrial vehicles across eight European countries. The new vehicles are Euro VI diesel and can also run on HVO biodiesel, which can reduce emissions by up to 90%. The Swedish manufacturer will deliver the vehicles in several batches between 2024 and 2025.
"The principle behind our fleet renewal is to prioritize low-emission vehicles while offering a high level of comfort and safety to our drivers, protecting them and all other road users," explained Valter Lannutti, CEO of the company. "In addition to the I-Save technology for fuel savings, already adopted across our fleet, we now aim to leverage the advantages of the Camera Monitor System (cameras replacing rearview mirrors) and the improved aerodynamic design. This collaboration with Volvo will allow us to continue our journey towards zero emissions."
Upon signing the order, Roger Alm, President of Volvo Trucks, stated, "This agreement makes me very proud because it demonstrates the trust and commitment that the Lannutti Group has towards Volvo Trucks as a long-term commercial partner. This is truly proof that we have done the right thing with the new Volvo FH Aero. It not only helps our customers reduce fuel costs and CO2 emissions but is also one of the safest truck models for their drivers."
