LC3 Trasporti has long been committed to low-emission transport, employing both natural gas-powered and electric industrial vehicles. In February 2025, the Italian company took a significant step forward by introducing its first fully electric articulated lorry, combining a Mercedes eActros 600 tractor unit with an electric refrigerated Schmitz Cargobull semi-trailer featuring an energy recovery system. This vehicle is used for temperature-controlled transport. Currently in a trial phase, the eActros 600 is the first of a fleet of thirty vehicles that LC3 Trasporti plans to gradually deploy on Italian roads. "Two years ago, at the Green Logistic Expo in Padua, we announced the arrival of the first eActros 600s in collaboration with Mercedes-Benz Trucks. Today, we are proud to be the first in Italy to put them on the road," said Michele Ambrogi, Chief Operating Officer of LC3 Trasporti. "As we did with natural gas-powered vehicles, we are once again ahead of the market with an innovative green solution. Our customers have responded very positively, and once testing is complete, we will launch the first zero-impact operational routes."
