On July 20, the leaders of the Municipality of Piacenza and the Ministry of Transport signed the memorandum of understanding in the City Council Hall to create a new intermodal hub in the Mose logistics district, which will be named Polo del Ferro. This will be a freight terminal serving various logistics companies operating in the Piacenza area, while simultaneously freeing up central areas of the city for redevelopment and new uses. Additionally, the Piazzale Marconi station will become an intermodal hub for passengers. Expansion work is also underway at the terminal managed by Hupac, which is expected to be completed by 2025.
