MSC Air Cargo's fleet expansion continues at a brisk pace. In May 2024, the airline received its fifth Boeing B777F, albeit slightly delayed from the original plan of receiving it within the first quarter of the year. This aircraft is the first to feature the Italian flag and the letter "I" on its fuselage, signifying its Italian AOC authorization linked to the acquisition of AlisCargo Airlines in August 2023. Specifically, the aircraft, marked I-MSCA and named Alfirk, is based at Malpensa and enhances the intercontinental connections of the Lombardy airport.
The airline's June schedule already highlights a significant development for Malpensa: the launch of a bi-weekly flight to Hong Kong. From the Lombardy airport, the B777F will depart on Mondays at 16:35, arriving at its destination on Tuesday at 10:00, and on Fridays at 5:35, arriving at 23:00. Departing from Hong Kong, the flights will leave at 10:00 on Wednesdays, landing at Malpensa at 16:50 the same day, and at 23:00 on Saturdays, landing at 5:50 on Sundays. Additionally, MSC Air Cargo operates two weekly flights from Malpensa to Narita Airport in Japan.
