On March 21, 2024, Chep Europe's Pallecon division introduced ZirConic, a foldable pallet container that integrates 97% post-consumer recycled plastic, marking a significant step towards circular economy logistics. Chep plans to incorporate this container into its pooling system, highlighting its suitability for critical industries such as packaging, adhesives, e-commerce, and co-packing. The aim is to enhance efficiency in the initial stages of the supply chain.
ZirConic offers a substantial 708-liter capacity and can bear loads up to 750 kg. It is fully collapsible, maximizing space efficiency in industrial vehicles when transported empty. This innovation not only boosts transportation productivity but also reduces environmental impact by cutting down on the number of truck journeys required.
