On 12 March 2025, Webfleet introduced the new Driver Terminal Pro X, a tablet specifically designed to meet the needs of truck and van fleets, providing tools to enhance operational efficiency and ensure more reliable service. Integrated with the Webfleet Work App and TomTom GO Fleet navigation, this device facilitates seamless communication between drivers and fleet managers. Among its key features, the Pro X offers electronic proof of delivery (ePod), cold chain management, and real-time monitoring of remaining driving hours. Additionally, the OptiDrive ranking system enables drivers to compare their performance with colleagues, receiving real-time feedback to refine their driving style.
The integration with TomTom GO Fleet delivers a navigation system tailored for road transport, offering real-time arrival estimates, traffic updates, and alerts on low-emission zones, as well as highlighting points of interest dedicated to both diesel and electric trucks. Pre-installed maps receive monthly updates to ensure accuracy. The device is built to withstand drops, vibrations, extreme temperatures, water, sunlight, and dust. Its large 8-inch anti-glare screen ensures usability even with gloves or wet hands, while the removable battery provides extended autonomy and greater flexibility in power management.
One of the Pro X’s standout features is its high level of customisation. With the Mobile Device Management (MDM) system, companies can configure the home screen, set applications to launch automatically, and manage the device remotely, ensuring optimal adaptation to specific fleet requirements. Furthermore, the Pro X is certified as Android Enterprise Recommended, running on Android 13 with an upgrade path to Android 15, guaranteeing long-term support and compatibility with the latest technologies. The Pro X will be available for purchase in Europe, Australia, and New Zealand from March 2025, with plans for expansion into additional markets by the end of the year.
