On June 3, 2024, a period of complete nighttime closures for all vehicles in the Mont Blanc Tunnel began, covering twelve days in June: 3, 4, 5, 6, 10, 11, 12, 13, 17, 18, 19, and June 27 (with an additional closure on July 1). The company managing the tunnel, Geie-Tmb, has announced a reduction of two hours in the nighttime closure compared to the original schedule: the closure now starts at 7:30 PM, and reopening is at 6:00 AM. However, a prolonged closure of 30 hours and 30 minutes is scheduled from 11:30 PM on June 19 to 6:00 AM on June 21. There are no tunnel closures planned for July and August, except for the mentioned closure on July 1.
