Poste Italiane is venturing into the delivery of temperature-controlled foods sold through e-commerce channels with its service PosteGoFresh, developed in collaboration with Mazzocco - a company within the Italtrans Group - with which it has created the joint venture MLK Fresh. The service is operational in twenty Italian cities, including Rome, Milan, Turin, Genoa, Verona, Bologna, and Florence. The companies claim that this is “the first service to guarantee the transportation of food products at controlled temperatures throughout the entire supply chain.”
Operationally, the joint venture integrates the technology of MLK Deliveries, which allows recipients to choose the day and time of delivery, with Mazzocco's refrigerated logistics platform. The gastronomic products purchased online will be transported in refrigerated industrial vehicles right to the customer's doorstep. Recipients can select the delivery date and time and follow the journey of their shipment online. After launching in the twenty cities, the service will gradually be extended nationwide.
With this service, Poste Italiane continues its growth strategy in e-commerce services, offering a unique solution that combines logistics assets with technologies that provide personalized delivery. PosteGoFresh expands this offering into the wide range of temperature-controlled food products.
