On 12 February 2025, Raben Group announced the acquisition of the entire share capital of the Dutch company DGO Express, previously part of the Sent Waninge Group. The agreement, signed on 6 February, entails the transfer of DGO Express's headquarters in Hoogeveen, in the province of Drenthe, to Raben's control, along with the management of a fleet of eighty industrial vehicles and the integration of 130 new employees into the group. The financial terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.
DGO Express, a family-run business, operates in the road transport and warehousing sector. Its strategic location along the A28 motorway near Hoogeveen makes it a key logistics hub for the Dutch market and access to Benelux countries. This acquisition enables Raben Group to enhance its local network and improve contract logistics and groupage services. Following the sale of the Dutch company, the Sent Waninge Group will continue to focus on other regional activities through its transport companies, Sent Waninge Transport and Transpa Emmen, maintaining a family legacy that dates back to the 1930s.
"The acquisition of DGO Express provides us with new opportunities in the Netherlands while simultaneously expanding our network. This allows us to offer our customers the most efficient service possible in the local market, as well as strengthen our position in Benelux and expand our growth opportunities in Europe," said Ewald Raben, CEO of Raben Group. Founded in the Netherlands, Raben Group has expanded its presence in Europe since the 1990s and now operates in fifteen countries with over 160 locations, warehouse capacity of 1,800,000 square metres, and an annual turnover of approximately two billion euros. In the Netherlands, the company already operates four branches, with its headquarters located in Oss.
