On 1 March 2025, the Swiss company Raben Sieber will commence operations, following the agreement between the Dutch Raben Group and the Swiss Sieber Transport. This partnership serves as a key reference point for logistics, with special attention to Switzerland and its connections with Central and Northern Europe. The agreement, signed in November 2024, has led to the creation of an extensive and independent road groupage transport network, expanding the presence of both companies in a constantly evolving market.
Raben Sieber aims to integrate Raben Group’s well-established international network with Sieber Transport’s national logistics solutions. Thanks to this collaboration, Switzerland will be incorporated into a road transport network with direct and daily connections to Germany and Austria within the Dach region. This will allow for shorter delivery times, broader geographical coverage, and greater transparency in logistics processes. Raben Group’s CEO, Ewald Raben, highlighted the strategic importance of this initiative: "The establishment of Raben Sieber marks a significant milestone in the expansion of our network. With the acquisition of new routes in Switzerland, we can ensure an even more extensive and efficient service. Today, our network covers fifteen European markets, and with Switzerland, that number rises to sixteen. We are already planning our seventeenth country and will continue to expand in the coming years."
Raben Group has its roots in the Netherlands, where it began as a family-run transport company. Its international expansion started in 1991 with the opening of its Polish headquarters. With a network of 160 locations across fifteen European countries, now including Switzerland, Raben Group continues to strengthen its position in the land transport market, which accounts for 75% of its activities. Similarly, Sieber Transport also originated as a family business, founded in 1974. Today, it employs 900 people across Switzerland.
