On May 29, 2024, Raben Italy, the Italian branch of the European logistics group Raben Group, announced the enhancement of air and sea connections from China to Italy. This includes the introduction of a consolidated air route from Shanghai to Milan Malpensa. This service operates two flights per week, with a guaranteed cargo space of 1500 kilograms and approximately 5 cubic meters. The first flight departs from Shanghai on Saturdays, transiting via Singapore or Seoul and arriving in Milan Malpensa on Mondays. The second flight departs from the Chinese hub on Wednesdays, arriving at its destination on Thursday mornings.
Raben Italy continues to operate a weekly air route for exports to Cairo, departing from Milan Malpensa on Saturdays. Looking ahead, Raben Italy plans to expand air transport from Milan Malpensa to strategic destinations such as Qatar, Bahrain, Brazil, and the United States.
In terms of maritime transport, Raben Italy is launching a connection from Shanghai and Ningbo to the port of Genoa. By utilizing owned containers, the company conducts weekly direct trips from the two Chinese ports. Currently, the transit time is about 50 days, but a reduction to 30 days is anticipated with the resumption of regular traffic through the Suez Canal.
