The French manufacturer announced the start of sales for its 2025 models, which include the T, T High, C, and K series. These vehicles boast improvements in the powertrain, delivering fuel consumption reductions of up to 3% compared to the previous generation, according to Renault Trucks.
A key focus of the new range is energy efficiency. Following the introduction of Turbo Compound technology on the 480 hp DE13 engine two years ago, which cut fuel consumption by up to 10%, Renault Trucks continues to refine its vehicles. For 2025, the T, C, and K series benefit from additional technological upgrades that further reduce fuel consumption, thanks to modifications in the powertrain (engine, transmission, and axles) and the standard use of A+ class tires.
In road transport, the manufacturer introduces the Smart Racer version of the Renault Trucks T, equipped with the DE13 Turbo Compound engine and a set of fuel-saving options. According to Renault, this version enables fuel consumption reductions of up to 14% and CO2 emissions by up to 15% compared to a standard model.
Beyond energy efficiency, the 2025 models feature new safety and driving comfort functions. One of the most notable innovations is the replacement of traditional rearview mirrors with integrated rear cameras, now standard on the T, T High, and E-Tech T models. The retractable cameras are linked to two in-cabin screens, offering a better view of the surroundings, improving visibility, and enhancing aerodynamics, which contributes to lower fuel consumption. Additionally, infrared mode enhances night vision, further boosting safety.
In terms of vehicle stability and control, the 2025 models feature a new power steering system that stabilizes the truck at high speeds while making low-speed maneuvers easier, which is especially advantageous in urban and suburban environments. This system combines hydraulic power steering with an electric motor, adjusting the vehicle’s behavior according to the driver’s movements.
On the safety front, Renault Trucks has equipped its new models with a lane-keeping assistance system with automatic correction, which intervenes in case of unintended lane departure, helping to prevent accidents. This technology is particularly beneficial for protecting vulnerable road users, such as pedestrians and cyclists, by reducing the risks associated with blind spots.
The 2025 models also bring advancements in active safety features. Renault Trucks has enhanced vehicle lighting with automatic high beams that activate based on external conditions, complementing the automatic low beams already present in the previous generation. Work lights can be mounted on the chassis or at the rear of the cab, ensuring optimal visibility in all conditions, whether on-road or off-road.
