On 14 April 2025, Menaklars took delivery of seven new Scania Super tractors, featuring 460-horsepower engines and Scania S cabs, to support its growing operations in the luxury and vintage car transport sector. The new vehicles will be used on international routes, with expected annual mileage ranging between 110,000 and 130,000 kilometres. Menaklars was formed from the merger of two companies – Italy’s Menabue eventi e trasporti and Germany’s Klars – and is specialised in the transportation of classic cars, prototypes, vintage vehicles and supercars. With operational bases in both Italy and Germany, the company manages an average of 700 vehicles per day, all handled with the utmost discretion thanks to a fleet of 150 industrial vehicles.
Environmental responsibility has long been one of the company’s strategic pillars. Since 2023, it has accelerated its decarbonisation efforts by introducing fully electric transport options and fuelling at least 80 per cent of its combustion-engine vehicles with HVO biofuel. Key reasons for choosing the Scania models include customised chassis configurations – the only ones compatible with Menaklars’ specific semi-trailers – and the high residual value the vehicles retain after five years of use.
To ensure maximum productivity, Menaklars has signed an international four-year repair and maintenance contract in the Plus package with the Swedish manufacturer, accompanied by comprehensive insurance coverage. Scania dealership Csa supported the company in defining the most suitable configurations. Menaklars’ development plans also include initiatives for its drivers, with the creation of an in-house training programme. The company employs 150 drivers, seven of whom are women. It is also working with Kässbohrer and Bestlog on the electrification of its semi-trailers.
